Today, we’re highlighting an extraordinary man behind an extraordinary organization.
When a devastating earthquake rocked Nepal to its core, Dr. Aban Gautam knew he had to do something to help those without access to healthcare. Many people in rural Nepali communities already had to walk over 10 hours to get to a doctor, but with the destruction of the earthquake, it was nearly impossible for many to get help. Dr. Gautam started Mountain Heart Nepal to bring mobile medical clinics to these remote locations.
The Liquid I.V. team had the honor of living and working alongside Dr. Gautam for a few days in Nepal. We assisted at one of MHN’s medical clinics in Ghale Gaun and distributed Liquid I.V. to the people of the village. His generosity of spirit was evident, and we were moved and inspired by his desire to help Nepal’s poorest. We interviewed him on the banks of the Phewa Lake in Pokhara about MHN and the impact they’re having.
