A Bigger, Bolder Liquid I.V. Confluence: $2M in Grants to our 2025 Cohort of Partners
At Liquid I.V., we believe access to clean, safe drinking water is a basic human right—and we know real impact happens when communities are supported not just with resources, but with trust. That’s the idea behind the Liquid I.V. Confluence program, our signature initiative designed to tackle water access challenges across the U.S. by investing in the people and organizations leading the charge. This year, we’re taking that commitment further.

Expanding Our Impact with a New Confluence Cohort
Formed in 2023, the Liquid I.V. Confluence partner network is a collective of nonprofits working at the intersection of water, climate, and equity. From rural utilities and Indigenous water rights to tap water trust and legal advocacy, these partners represent the bold, on-the-ground work that’s pushing the clean water movement forward.
This year, The Liquid I.V. Confluence network has grown to 16 member organizations, with six new organizations joining our 2025 cohort.
Each member will receive a $50,000 Mainline Grant, with access to additional funding for collaboration, innovation, and team wellbeing. In total, we’re offering $2 million in clean water grant funding for 2025 alone, bringing our total clean water investment to $6 million and counting to date.
Because we know sustainable change requires more than just project dollars—it requires backing the people and infrastructure that keep the work going long after the headlines fade.
"We designed Confluence as a space where nonprofit leaders could collaborate—not compete,” said Jayce Newton, Director of Impact at Liquid I.V. “The program is now entering its third year and we’re proud to deepen our commitment to our partners, helping to give them the flexibility, funding and collaborative space they need to build lasting solutions.”
New to the Liquid I.V. Confluence cohort in 2025: Osman Lab, Water Collaborative of Greater New Orleans, Freshwater Future, Council for Watershed Health, Water Hub, and Native American Rights Fund.
They join long-standing Liquid I.V. Confluence partners including the Center for Water Security and Cooperation, Community Water Center, DigDeep, Heal the Bay, Hispanic Access Foundation, Moonshot Missions, Pacific Institute, US Water Alliance, Waterkeeper Alliance, and We the People of Detroit to form a network that blends deep expertise with fresh perspective.
“Today, water has become an even more scarce, climate-volatile, and unprotected resource, impacting communities of all colors, creeds, and classes. I'm grateful for companies like Liquid I.V. for not only prioritizing water in their work but also prioritizing the organizations creating change on the ground today across the United States, said Jessica Dandridge-Smith, Executive Director at Water Collaborative of Greater New Orleans. “Often, water advocates and changemakers are overlooked in the fight for environmental justice, but they cut through the noise and have centered on our bodies and the earth's most precious resource. They are not only doing phenomenal work but also setting an important precedent for companies seeking to make positive impacts on the environment."

What Makes Liquid I.V.’s Confluence Program Different
Many traditional corporate giving models focus on short-term metrics. Liquid I.V. Confluence flips that idea. We invest in long-term relationships, provide unrestricted grants, and center the people doing the work—not the brand funding it.
That includes grants specifically designed to support team wellbeing—because we believe sustainable impact doesn’t just come from strong programs, but from healthy, supported people leading them. We couple our grantmaking with in-person, solutions-focused convenings that promote shared learning and spark action that will drive meaningful and lasting change in water access.
The result? In just two years, we’ve grown our network by 60% and helped launch initiatives that span everything from water affordability in Michigan to tribal water sovereignty in the Southwest.
"No other water cohort is as intentional as Confluence. It's a gift to be connected to water leaders across the country and given the time and funding to creatively collaborate. Liquid I.V. has shaped the program to be responsive to the needs of Confluence members and because of that I know it will continue to be valuable space for us." - Kelsey Hinton, Communications Director, Community Water Center
Accelerating Water Access, Together
The clean water crisis is still impacting millions—especially in rural, Indigenous, and historically marginalized communities. Through our broader impact efforts—including Confluence, strategic grantmaking, and partnerships with on-the-ground organizations—we’re scaling solutions to address water access across the U.S. and around the world.
Our goal is to reach 2 million people globally with improved water access by 2026. And we’re well on our way. Want to see the work in action? Stay tuned for more from our 2025 Liquid I.V. Confluence Summit in Santa Fe, where we’ll be highlighting the people, projects, and partnerships that are driving this movement forward.
Why This Matters to Us
Liquid I.V. was built on the idea that better hydration can power better lives—but that promise starts long before the electrolytes hit your glass. It starts with clean, reliable water. That’s why we direct more than 1% of our revenue to our impact initiatives focused on expanding water access. As our brand grows, so does our impact. But, we’re not just donating—we’re building something bigger. By backing bold leaders, fueling collaboration, and funding the real costs of this work, we’re helping shape a future where hydration is possible for everyone. Not just for today—but for generations to come.
