LIV Spotlight: August Giveback Round-Up

LIV Spotlight: August Giveback Round-Up

Published August 31st, 2021

As part of our Mission to Change The World, for every purchase of Liquid I.V., we donate a serving to someone in need. We work with large organizations like Direct Relief, MAP International, CORE, Operation Gratitude, and others to get LIV into the hands of millions of people all over the world.

In 2021 Alone, We’ve Donated...

994,500 Servings to MAP International

MAP International is an organization that provides life-saving medicines and health supplies to those in need around the world. Recently, they sent Liquid I.V. to a malnutrition center in Haiti, helping to hydrate people in impoverished communities. Check out the video below to learn about how your purchases are helping those in need around the world.

858,000 Servings to Military Organizations Like Operation Gratitude

Operation Gratitude works to forge strong bonds between Americans and their military and first responder heroes through volunteer service projects, acts of gratitude, and other meaningful engagements in communities nationwide. Recently, they held an event at the DC National Guard Armory to assemble over 5,000 care packages to send to deployed troops.

1.2 Million Servings to Direct Relief

Direct Relief was our earliest giveback partner, and remains one of the top humanitarian organizations in the world. Recently, they’ve sent Liquid I.V. to the Philippines Department of Health, cancer clinics in Ghana, and community health facilities in the U.S., among many others. The organization recently flew into Haiti to manage disaster relief after a 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck earlier this month.

838,000 Servings to Food for the Poor

Food for the Poor is a group that provides food, medicine, and shelter, among other services, to low-income communities in Latin America and the Caribbean. Recently, they sent Liquid I.V. to clinics in Colombia to help those in poorer communities stay hydrated.

500,000 Servings to Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE)

CORE is a community-led non-profit that has provided over 1.7 million free COVID vaccines and 5.3 million COVID tests across the U.S., Brazil, India, and Haiti. Their staff and volunteers have been working tirelessly to protect vulnerable and marginalized communities throughout the pandemic, fearlessly braving the elements when needed—putting them in need of constant hydration.

78,000 Servings to the LA LGBT Center’s Pride Pantry Program

Since 1969, the Los Angeles LGBT Center has pioneered and facilitated much-needed services such as health, social services and housing, culture and education, and leadership and advocacy programs for the LGBTQ+ community. Last year, as food pantries across the city shut down due to COVID, those in need had trouble finding meals. To help solve this problem, the LGBT Center started Pride Pantry, a program where the LGBTQ+ community in West Hollywood could safely get meals and snacks.

CTW at Home

CTW is happening in our own backyard, with smaller organizations looking to support their communities in big ways. We send hydration all over the country to support them. Here are just a few of the incredible groups that recently received LIV:

Flight Paramedics in Redding, CA

Flight paramedics bring emergency medical services to remote locations. In the summer, Redding, CA tends to have temperatures above 100 degrees. The city’s flight paramedics are often sitting in a hot plane for hours before takeoff, sometimes on a tarmac that reaches upwards of 140 degrees.

Coralpalooza

Giveback meets sustainability. Coral Restoration Foundation™ is a non-profit that is helping bring the Florida Keys reefs back to life. Coralpalooza is their largest event of the year, with nearly 200 recreational SCUBA divers dedicating their day to restoring the reefs. SCUBA can be highly dehydrating, so we donated LIV to make sure each diver stayed hydrated throughout the event.

One Love Outreach Mission

This organization is an all-volunteer and women-led group that distributes necessity bags full of toiletries, snacks, socks, and drinks to those experiencing homelessness in NYC. During the summer, dehydration is especially dangerous for the unhoused population.

The Entity Haven

This incredible group provides resources and essential items to survivors of human trafficking. While this group helps to facilitate re-entry into society, some of the people they work with are still on the streets, where dehydration can become severe.

Parker High School Football Team

Alabama's temperatures soar in the summer, and Parker High School's football team needed some hydration relief. With 55 players working out 4 times a week in preparation for the upcoming season, dehydration was a major risk.

Circle A Home For Horses

This equine therapy center is “dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk children and rescued equines through paired bonding, learning, and fellowship.” The horses can't drink LIV, but the clients often need a hydration boost while riding.

Remember, LIV Fam: you’re the ones who make all this possible. Thank you for being a part of Changing The World.
