Here’s how it happened:
Excited by our clean ingredients, breakthrough science and mission-driven values, Gonzaga University reached out to us in July to make some hydration magic happen. As long-time fans of their incredible and high-ranking Bulldogs basketball team, the partnership was a no-brainer. We flew to their campus in Spokane, Washington and made it official.
So what does this mean? It means Liquid I.V. will be fueling Gonzaga teams during practice, training sessions, and games. It means we’ll be on the sidelines at every game with Liquid I.V. water bottles and coolers. And it means it’s going to be an incredible 2019-2020 season!
Our CEO Looks to the Future

One of the Top Teams in the Country
NBCSports’s preseason ranking puts GU at the #11 spot in men’s NCAA basketball. Legendary Gonzaga Head Coach Mark Few has led the team since 1999 and boasts over 550 career wins. We’ll be hydrating him, too! (He’ll be standing courtside with our Liquid I.V. water bottle.) The Bulldogs’ level of excellence is inspiring to us as a team, and we can’t wait to cheer them on from Los Angeles!
“We are excited to join forces with such an innovative company in Liquid I.V., and we see a lot of similarities with our Athletics programs in the way they always strive to achieve more,” said Josh Therrien, Head Athletic Trainer at GU. “Hydration for our student-athletes is a cornerstone to competitive success and working with Liquid I.V. will help push us to even greater heights.”
This season is a particularly exciting one for GU. In 2017, the Bulldogs lost to the North Carolina Tar Heels in the national championship game. This season will be the first time the two teams will face off since GU’s loss, making it the revenge game of the season. We’re thrilled to be supporting them by providing proper hydration!
Gonzaga Gets in on Giveback
Gonzaga University shares our passion for Changing The World, so we joined forces to make an impact. The deal? GU scores, we donate. For every point scored in men’s and women’s basketball, we will donate Liquid I.V. to someone in need around the world. (It’ll be added motivation for GU to leave it all on the court!)
