Hey LIV Fam, are you excited for Super Bowl Sunday? With the big game just around the corner, we’ve compiled a few of our favorite Super Bowl snacks and Super Bowl appetizers. Whether you’re watching the Chiefs face off against the Buccaneers, tuning in to see the Weeknd perform during halftime, or oohing and aahing your way through the Puppy Bowl, these recipes are sure to impress.

1. Crispy, Crunchy Sweet Potato Chips 

Crispy, crunchy, salty, dippable, and served in a bowl! Is it just us, or are potato chips the pinnacle of Super Bowl snacks? This year, without all the game-day parties, chances are, you probably have a little extra time on your hands. Why not channel it into this healthy-er DIY take on a readymade classic? 

Ingredients:

2 sweet potatoes

2 tbsp olive oil

Salt, to taste

Optional: garlic powder, rosemary, paprika, or pepper, to taste

How to: 

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F. 
  2. Slice sweet potatoes as thinly as possible, preferably with a mandolin. 
  3. Combine olive oil, salt, and any additional spices in bowl. Add sliced sweet potatoes and mix to thoroughly coat every slice. 
  4. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Arrange sweet potato slices evenly on baking sheets without overlapping. Bake for 11 minutes (or until crispy), and flip. Bake for another 11 minutes or until both sides are evenly brown. 
  5. Remove from oven and let cool. 

2. Low-Carb Creamy Dill Dip

How to:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until thoroughly blended. 
  2. Cover and refrigerate for one hour before serving.
